The site is over 550 pages. I initially created the site and was responsible
for weekly and monthly updates. There is a large back end containing pages for
the Community Outreach Trainers to view their recruited members’ information.

I led a creative team of content writers, programmers and web
designers to create three web sites on sun safety for children. They
were eventually combined into a single site. Click on the About the
Curriculum button and then the animated tutorial link
to view a Flash animation I created. We purposely lowered
the quality of the sound to make it easier for users with low bandwidth.
This is a simple site created for The Cooper Institute. The picture
on the home page changes randomly whenever the page is refreshed.

The challenge here was to capture the brilliance of the colors in the
artist’s paintings. I used Dreamweaver’s Create Web
Photo Album command to generate the painting gallery and then went
back into the pages and modified them to fit the design.
This is one of the flower pages from A Naturalist
Journal of ColoradoCD-ROM. I painted the columbine and then used
Illustrator to wrap the type around it. Photoshop and Painter were
used for the layout and buttons.
An animation showing the anatomy
of a sunflower versus a typical flower. All the parts were drawn
in Illustrator and then animated in Director.
We created 3 CD-ROMs on Sun Safety for grades K-1,
2-3, and 4-5 at AMC Cancer Research Center.
I created the animation (including lip synching), navigation and sound
editing. I also acted as the voice talent for “Ella Umbrella” and “Grandma
Ida.”
I created this touch screen kiosk
for St. Luke’s Hospital in Montana as a contractor to Montano
Communications. The graph was generated in Illustrator.

This is a scene from the Flash tutorial on the Sunny
Days, Healthy Ways web site. It contains graphics, sound effects
and narration. I created the graphics in Freehand and Flash and edited
the sound
files
in
Peak and Deck.
As part of my CD-ROM, A Naturalist’s Journal
of Colorado, I created this animation of the formation of an aspen
grove. I drew the trees in Illustrator and then animated them in
Flash. It includes sound effects and music.
As part of a prototype for a Flash game, we
were experimenting with using Flash drawings and Bryce backgrounds.
I drew the girl entirely in Flash from a pencil sketch. The final
game will allow the user to pick their characters and backgrounds
at the beginning of the game.
For a project at Klein Buendel, I was experimenting
with Toon Boom Studio and integrating it with Flash. Toon Boom Studio
allowed me to move my character in 3D space. It also has the capability
to do lip synching very quickly.
The Cooper Institute wanted to compare the effect
of high sensation and low sensation non-smoking commercials on middle
school students. I edited three different episodes of Friends and
inserted specific commercials to create six total movies. I then
created screens in Director to ask questions and track the student’s
answers. Final Cut Pro was used for the video editing. The project
was placed on 30 laptop computers and taken to various schools.
Vector drawing programs allow the user to create the
art work once and enlarge it dramatically with no loss of clarity.
I created this cross section in Freehand.
This is a map I drew for the Denver Museum of Nature
and Science. It was created in Illustrator and then a printed brochure
showing all three floors was assembled in Quark.
The Aquilegia is a monthly newsletter
for the Colorado Native Plant Society.
I set up a template and produced the volumes in Quark.
Rubber Planet is a local rock band. I have created
three music CD covers for them and multiple flyers, tickets, stickers
and t-shirt designs. Painter and Photoshop were used for this image
and then everything was assembled in Quark.
