A single plant was growing high up the North
Fork Trail. I found out later that I was missing an identifying spathe that
stands up at the back of the flower. For years I tried to find the plant
again, but seemed to always have to turn back because of inclement weather
or some other reason. Imagine my surprise at finding a whole bunch of them
in the meadow next to the campground!
