This was one of my first paintings of acrylics
on paper. I painted this view first in watercolor with the actual drab colors
of winter. Then I painted it again in bright watercolor and watched the brilliant
colors fade as they dried. Finally I painted it in acrylics and was happy
with the brilliance of the pigments. Since then I have been experimenting
with acrylic on various surfaces.
